# Voice Follow

> It listens to what's said and sung, and keeps the screens in step.

Voice Follow listens through a microphone or an audio input and follows along. Turn each part on with its toolbar button.

| **Follow Scripture** (Live Scripture) | Say a reference — "John three sixteen" — or start reading, and the verse comes up. A verse it put up can come down by itself after a while; choose how long in **Take a Verse Down After**. |
| **Follow Slides** (Slide Navigation) | As a song is sung or a script is read, the next slide comes up when the words do. |
| **Shazam Song Detection** | When the band starts a song, it's recognised and found in your library. |
| **Web Lyrics Search** | A recognised song that isn't in your library can be found on the web. |

To capture: Settings › Voice Follow with Live Scripture, Slide Navigation and Song Detection.

## Set it up

In **Settings › Voice Follow**:

* **Listen To** — a microphone, or a channel of an audio interface. The sound desk's feed is cleaner than a microphone in the room.
* **Words to Match** — how many words must match before it moves.
* Which follow buttons appear in the toolbar.

Scripture placed by Voice Follow goes on the **Overlays** layer, over the slides, so it doesn't replace what's already up.
