The Media Library panel holds your pictures, films and cameras. Drag a picture or film onto a slide to put it behind the words, or between slides to make a Media item that plays on its own.

Foreground and background

Every piece of media has a Behavior:
  • Foreground media is in front of the slides. Putting it up clears the words while it plays, it’s heard, and it stops when you move on — a video announcement.
  • Background media is behind the slides. It keeps playing across slide changes until another background replaces it — a motion loop under the lyrics.
Choose how media is set up as it arrives in Settings › Audio & Video: Scaling, When It Ends (Stop or Loop) and Mute, separately for foreground and background. Changing those never reaches back into slides already made. Change one Media item’s behaviour from its right-click menu.

Adding media from a slide

Right-click a slide and choose Add Media…:
  • Behind This Slide — a picture or film behind the words.
  • As Media After This Slide — a Media item.
  • YouTube Video After This Slide… — a YouTube video, streamed on the screens.
Remove Background Media takes it off again, from one slide or every picked one.

Dynamic Backgrounds

Motion backgrounds that move with the music — what’s playing, or a live input from the band, the low, middle and high of it each moving something of its own. Find them in Dynamic Backgrounds in the Media panel, and choose what they Listen To in Settings › Inputs.

Image Tools

Pick a picture on a slide and use:
  • Remove Background — lift a person or object off its background.
  • Clean Up — brush over what shouldn’t be there, and it’s gone.
Both work on your device, and the original stays in the Media panel.

Smart Media

Every picture and film you add is read on your device: tagged with what it shows, and read for any words written in it. A film is read from a few of its frames, since the first is so often black. Search for “tent”, or the title printed on a sermon series graphic, and it’s found — in the Media panel and in Search.

The Inspector

Right-click a slide with media and choose Inspector… to look closely at its pictures, films and sounds.
