A timer is a layer that shows a clock instead of words you typed. Put one on a slide, in a countdown, or on a stage layout.

What it counts

Choose how it’s written, from SS and M:SS up to hours, days, frames and timecode.

When it gets to zero

A timer can also carry on past zero, counting the other way — useful on a stage screen, so the speaker knows how far over they are.

Countdowns

A countdown is a timer with a design of its own, made in the Countdown Editor, that shows on the Countdown layer over everything else. Start one:
  • from a slide, with Add Action › Show Countdown,
  • from a remote, MIDI or OSC,
  • or with Siri and Shortcuts: Start Countdown and Stop Countdown.
Clear Countdown takes it off.
