Circle a word, underline a verse, sketch a map. With Apple Pencil, a finger or the pointer, every line appears on the screens as you draw it.

Draw

1

Tap the pencil

It’s over the preview while a slide is up.
2

Draw on the preview

Choose a colour, and Pen for writing or Marker for underlining. While you draw, a tap or swipe on the preview draws rather than changing the slide.
3

Click Done

Or press Escape.
Undo takes back the last line. Clear takes off everything drawn since you started.

Kept with the slide

When you finish, or move to another slide, your lines stay on the slide they were drawn on, as an Annotations layer. They’re the strokes themselves, not a picture of them, so they stay sharp at any size and can be edited like any other layer. To take them off, use Clear Annotations beside the pencil. It can be undone.
