An action is something a slide does when it goes live. Right-click a slide, choose Add Action, and pick one. With several slides picked, each gets the action.

Finishing an action

Actions that need more than a menu can say — a URL, an OSC address — open the slide’s Triggers and Commands to be finished, over the running order. There you can also give an action a delay after the slide goes live, and switch it off for a service without removing it. The same settings are in the slide inspector in Edit.

Changing what a slide does

  • Edit Actions lists what a slide does, each with its own menu.
  • Remove Actions takes one off, or all of them.
Actions travel with a slide when it’s copied and pasted.

Lyric videos

A presentation can play a track and put its slides up at moments in it — a lyric video. Record the moments by playing the track and putting slides up by hand as it goes. From then on, putting up the first slide puts up the rest on cue until the track ends, something else takes the Audio layer, or it’s cleared.
